Terms of Service

Service

OwnPix lets a host purchase private event albums, share album-specific upload links or QR codes, and download guest-contributed photos and videos during the purchased access window. Guests do not need accounts.

Accounts and eligibility

Hosts sign in using Google and are responsible for keeping that account secure. You must be at least 13, legally able to enter this agreement, and provide accurate event and payment information. If you use OwnPix for an organization, you confirm that you can bind that organization to these terms.

Purchases and refunds

Each plan is a one-time purchase for one event. There are no subscriptions and no free plan. Purchases are non-refundable except where required by law. Stripe processes payments under its own terms.

Upload rights and responsibilities

You may upload or invite uploads only when you have the necessary rights and permissions. You must not use OwnPix for illegal, harmful, abusive, infringing, or privacy-invasive material. Hosts are responsible for their event and may remove uploads. Guests cannot delete submitted media.

You must not interfere with, reverse engineer, overload, scrape, or use unauthorized automation against OwnPix. We may remove content or suspend access for a breach of these terms or the law.

Storage and deletion

Upload and storage windows depend on the purchased plan and run from the event date. We plan to email the host 30 days and 7 days before storage expiry. Host and guest access ends at expiry. Media then enters a 10-day recovery buffer before permanent deletion. After permanent deletion, it cannot be recovered.

Availability

We work to keep OwnPix reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Hosts should download their event archive before the stated expiry date.

Intellectual property

Uploaders retain ownership of their media and grant OwnPix the limited permission needed to store, process, display, and deliver it for the event. OwnPix retains ownership of the service, software, and brand.

Hosts receive a limited, non-exclusive right to view, share within their event, and export media in their event. They must obtain an uploader's permission for other uses.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, OwnPix is provided as available without implied warranties. Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount paid for the affected event.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages where law permits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

Termination and changes

You may stop using OwnPix at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, or remove content, if we reasonably believe these terms or law were breached. Terms that should survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, and payment obligations, do survive.

We may update these terms and will revise the date above. Continued use after an update takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
