Chat delivery versus an event album
WhatsApp explains that senders can choose standard or HD media; its sharing guide says shared media may be compressed. OwnPix collects guest files in an event album, so guests do not need to join a group chat to contribute.
Which should you choose?
Choose OwnPix if you want a dedicated photo and video album with a QR code and an optional reveal. Guests can add their moments from a browser.
Choose WhatsApp if the conversation is the main goal and your group already uses it. WhatsApp notes that shared media may be compressed.
Before sending the invitation

| Sharing | A link can be forwarded; tell guests who can see the gallery |
Test the QR code on another phone. In OwnPix, anyone with the event link can view the gallery once it is available.
