What happens to each photo?
| Wedding hashtag | OwnPix QR album | |
|---|---|---|
| Guest action | Post on a social platform and add the tag | Open the album link and upload |
| Where photos appear | In individual social posts | In the shared event album |
| Who can see them | Depends on the platform and account settings | Anyone with the event link, once available |
| Guests without social media | Need another way to share | Can use their phone browser |
| Best for | Sharing public posts and following a tag | Collecting photos and videos in one place |
A hashtag is useful for guests who want to post, but it does not collect every photo taken. A shared link can also be forwarded, so tell guests who can access the album.
Put both on one sign
Share your photos: scan to add them to our album. Posting on social? Add #YourWeddingTag.
Use a tag that belongs to your event, test the QR code before printing, and invite guests to ask before posting photos of other people. Send the album link after the celebration for guests who want to upload later.
Pick what fits your guests
Use a hashtag if public social posts are the goal. Use an album when you want a collection people can contribute to without posting publicly. They work together: one guest can add a private moment to the album and share a different photo on social media.
